Each frame has the shape of the card. Drag and zoom until the front, then the back, fill their frames.
- 4

Overview
About Aadhaar Card Print
The e-Aadhaar you download from UIDAI is a full A4 letter, with the card itself as two small panels at the bottom: the front with your photo and the back with your address. This tool cuts out just those two panels and puts them side by side on a fresh A4 page at the real card size, 85.6 x 54 mm, the same size as the Aadhaar PVC card and a bank card. You print it, cut it out, and can laminate it to keep in a wallet.
The e-Aadhaar PDF is locked with a password: the first four letters of your name as printed on the Aadhaar, in capital letters, followed by your year of birth. You type it here and the file is opened inside your browser. Photos of a physical card work too: add one photo of each side, or one scan that has both sides, and fit each side in its frame.
You choose how the two sides are laid out. Cut apart leaves a gap between the front and the back, to cut them separately and stick them back to back. Fold in the middle puts them edge to edge with a dashed fold line, so one cut and one fold give a two-sided card. Up to four copies fit on one A4 page.
Your Aadhaar never leaves your device. The PDF, the password and the pictures are handled in your browser and nothing is uploaded, which matters for a document with your number, photo and address on it. The tool only crops and places the card; it cannot change any detail on it.

Good to know
- This tool only crops and prints. It cannot change the name, number, photo, address or any other detail, and you should not try to: altering an Aadhaar is an offence.
- Print only your own Aadhaar, or one you are allowed to handle, such as a family member's with their consent.
- A home print is a copy, not the official PVC card. UIDAI sells the Aadhaar PVC card through its website if you want a plastic card.
- The frames start where the card panels usually sit on an e-Aadhaar page. If your PDF looks different, move and zoom each frame yourself.
- Only the first page of a PDF is used, which is where the card is on an e-Aadhaar.
- Photos of a card are only as sharp as the photo. Take them in daylight, flat and straight, without flash glare.
Fix a problem
Troubleshooting
The password does not work
Use the first 4 letters of the name exactly as printed on the Aadhaar, in capitals, then the 4-digit year of birth, with no space, for example SURE1990. Spaces in the name are skipped and a dot counts as a character.
The printed card is bigger or smaller than a real card
Print at Actual size or 100%. Fit to page, Shrink or Scale changes the size. Measure the front after printing: it should be 85.6 mm wide.
Part of the card is cut off
Zoom out a little and drag the card into the middle of the frame, so its edges just touch the frame on all sides.
The new tab for printing did not open
The browser blocked it. Use Download PDF instead, open the file and print it from there.
The photo of my card is tilted
Use the Straighten slider until the edges of the card are level, then zoom so it fills the frame.
Front and back are the wrong way round
Press Swap front and back.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the size of an Aadhaar card in cm?
8.56 x 5.4 cm (85.6 x 54 mm), the same as a bank card. This tool prints each side at exactly that size.
What is the e-Aadhaar PDF password?
The first 4 letters of your name as on the Aadhaar, in capital letters, followed by your year of birth. For Suresh Kumar born in 1990 it is SURE1990.
How do I print the front and back of Aadhaar on one page?
Add your e-Aadhaar PDF or photos, fit the front and back in their frames, and press Print or Download PDF. Both sides come out side by side on one A4 page.
Is a printed e-Aadhaar valid?
UIDAI says the e-Aadhaar is as valid as the physical Aadhaar letter. Some offices still ask for the original or a PVC card, so check with them.
Can I print it for lamination?
Yes. Choose Fold in the middle, cut around the pair, fold it along the dashed line and laminate it. Or choose Cut apart and stick the two sides back to back.
Can I use a photo of my Aadhaar card?
Yes. Add a photo of the front and one of the back, or one picture that shows both. Straighten and zoom each side to fit its frame.
Should I use the masked Aadhaar?
When the full number is not needed, a masked Aadhaar is safer: it shows only the last 4 digits. You can choose it when downloading the e-Aadhaar from UIDAI, and print it here the same way.
How many copies fit on one A4 sheet?
Up to 4 front and back pairs, one under the other.
Is my Aadhaar uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF, the password and the pictures are handled inside your browser and never leave your device.
Can I edit details on the Aadhaar here?
No. The tool only crops and prints the card as it is. To correct a detail, use the update service on the UIDAI website or visit an Aadhaar centre.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up and no watermark.
