SSC CHSL Signature Resizer

In the SSC CHSL 2026 form the photo is captured live, so there is no photo file to resize. The one image you upload is your signature: a JPEG of 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high.

Free, no sign-up. Your photo never leaves your device.

Good to know for SSC CHSL

  • The photo is captured live in the form by webcam or phone (or the SSC app through a QR code). Old photos and photos of a photo are rejected: sit in good light in front of a plain wall, camera at eye level, no cap, mask or glasses.
  • Applications with blurred or miniature signatures are rejected, except for candidates who complete Aadhaar authentication.

Step by step

How to resize the SSC CHSL signature

  1. 1

    Sign on white paper

Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and take a clear picture of it. The SSC CHSL size and KB range are already selected.

  2. 2

    Add your picture

Choose the picture from your gallery or take a new one. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC pictures work.

  3. 3

    Crop and adjust

Drag and zoom until the signature fills the box with a little white space around it. Raise the contrast if the ink looks pale.

  4. 4

    Make and download

Press Make. The file comes out inside the allowed KB range, and the tool checks the downloaded file itself: format, KB, pixels and print size for the SSC CHSL form.

Avoid mistakes

Why SSC CHSL uploads get rejected

  • The signature is outside 10 to 20 KB, or it is a photo of the whole page instead of a close crop of the signature.
  • The signature is blurred, very small inside the picture, or written in capital letters.
  • It was signed on lined or coloured paper, or with a pencil or a light pen.
  • For the live photo: poor light, a busy background, a cap, mask or glasses, or the face partly outside the frame.
  • For the live photo: a picture of an old printed photo or of a screen held in front of the camera.

Tips for a clear signature

  • Sign a little larger than usual with a black pen on plain white paper, so the signature stays sharp in a small file.
  • Photograph it from straight above in daylight. A tilted or shadowed picture looks blurred once it is made small.
  • Crop close: the signature should fill most of the frame, with a thin white margin.
  • Before the live photo, sit facing a window in front of a plain wall, keep the phone at eye level and remove cap, mask and glasses.
  • Use the same signature you will make at the SSC CHSL exam centre; a mismatch can cancel the candidature.

FAQ

SSC CHSL signature FAQ

What is the SSC CHSL signature size?

about 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height); no pixel size or DPI given, as a JPG file of 10 to 20 KB. The tool makes it 709 x 236 px. Sign with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper.

Is the SSC CHSL signature size the same as CGL?

Yes: a JPEG of 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high.

Does the SSC CHSL 2026 form need a photo file?

No. The photo is captured live while you fill the form, so only the signature is uploaded. Paragraph 9.4 of the 2026 notice says no pre-existing photo is needed.

What is 6 cm x 2 cm in pixels for the SSC signature?

It depends on the resolution: 709 x 236 px at 300 DPI, 472 x 157 px at 200 DPI, or 227 x 76 px at 96 DPI. The 2026 notices give no pixel size or DPI; they ask for a JPEG of 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 x 2.0 cm. The tool makes 709 x 236 px and writes 300 DPI into the file, so it measures 6 x 2 cm.

The SSC form says my signature is not uploading or the dimension is wrong. What should I check?

Check four things: the file is a real JPEG (not a PNG or a renamed file), it is between 10 and 20 KB, it is about three times wider than tall, and the signature fills the image instead of sitting small in the middle. The result panel of this tool shows each of these for the file you download. If the form still refuses it, call the SSC helpline 1800 309 3063 given in the notice.

Should I sign with a black or blue pen for SSC?

The 2026 notices do not name an ink colour. They reject blurred and miniature signatures, so sign large with a dark pen, black or dark blue, on plain white paper, where it photographs most clearly.

The SSC live photo is not capturing. What can I do?

The notice asks for good light, a plain background, the camera at eye level and the whole face inside the area shown on screen, without cap, mask or glasses. If your computer camera does not work, scan the QR code under Upload Documents in the form to get the SSC app for Android phones and capture the photo there. Never photograph an old printed photo: those forms are rejected.

Are these SSC CHSL rules up to date?

They were last checked on 2026-10-26 against the SSC CHSL 2026 notice (F. No. HQ-C1102/5/2026-C-1, 7 September 2026). Rules can change with every notification, so compare them with the latest one on the official website before you upload.
